A woman is fighting for her life after falling from a building and landing on a female pedestrian below in north London.
Passers-by screamed in horror as the incident unfolded near The Mall shopping centre in High Road, Wood Green at 4.50pm on Wednesday.
The busy shopping district was closed between Gladstone Avenue and Alexandra Road as Metropolitan Police officers and emergency crews dealt with the aftermath.
Both women, whose ages are not known, were taken to hospital in critical conditions.
But Scotland Yard said on Thursday morning the pedestrian was no longer in a life-threatening condition.
