There's nothing better than enjoying some quality fish and chips at the seaside on a warm summers day. And Wales is blessed with no end of top rated chippies.
Two of the country's establishments have been named as some of the best in the UK. An article written by National Geographic compiled nine of the best chippies in the British Isles.
So if you find yourself a little bit peckish and fancy some haddock or cod you may want to check out the following restaurants if you find yourself in their neck of the woods. Here are the top two in Wales:

Enoch's Fish and Chips, Llandudno Junction, Conwy
In it's write up, National Geographic said: "Located near the mouth of the River Conwy, there’s a coastal feel to this ethically minded chip shop, which has been serving up fine fish and chips since 1963. What’s more, it sponsors two local football teams, supports the Fisherman’s Mission from carrier bag sales and donates 25p to the RNLI every time it sells a fishcake. It’s even developed a special-blend high-oleic sunflower oil to make its frying that little bit healthier."
The Creel, Porthmadog, Gwynedd
National Geographic said: "Located a stone’s throw from the local port, The Creel is a traditional, family-run fish and chip shop, that gets the basics right. Food is freshly made and tasty, there’s a nice outdoor seating area and the menu meanders from the traditional when the seasons permit, with dishes such as breaded mackerel goujons — which pair very well with the homemade tartare sauce."
Other chippies on the list outside of Wales included; The Magpie Cafe, Whitby, North Yorkshire; Anstruther Fish Bar, Anstruther, Fife; Oban Fish & Chips, Oban, Argyll & Bute; Aldeburgh Fish & Chips, Aldeburth, Suffolk; Fish City, Belfast; Chez Fred, Westbourne, Dorset; The Swan Restaurant & Takeaway, Southport, Merseyside.
