Two-time winner Galopin Des Champs ruled out of Cheltenham Gold Cup

Gold Willie Mullins Cheltenham Gold Cup the Gold Cup

Galopin Des Champs will miss next week’s Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The legendary horse won the race in 2023 and 2024, before finishing second when going for a hat-trick of victories last year.
However, the 10-year-old has been ruled out of the Gold Cup this time around, as confirmed by trainer Willie Mullins.
Mullins told Sporting Life that Galopin Des Champs “has been ruled out for the rest of the season”.
He stated that the horse “wasn’t right on Friday morning” and will not compete next week or in the rest of the spring festivals.
