Two men were charged and named by police after a man was hit by a car outside a pub.
Cheshire Police rushed to The Gunners Arms on Thornton Road in Ellesmere Port on Sunday, May 29 following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a 44-year-old man was run over by a car.
The 44-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains. Police have now charged Joe Cunnah, 23, of Southwood Road, St Michaels, and Kieran Cunnah, 29, of Springfields, Mickle Trafford, with section 18 assault and actual bodily harm with intent.

Kieran was also been charged with two counts of criminal damage and two counts of use of threatening and abusive language.
The pair both appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 31, where they were remanded into custody. They are next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday, June 28.
