An official from the controversial LIV Golf has confirmed that two star players regret their decision to reject an offer from the golf franchise.
Two Star Golf Players Regret Decision To Reject LIV Golf Offer
According to reports, several golfers are keen to join LIV Golf as the brand continues to grow within the sport and the trading period for the company is set to begin in a matter of days.
A multitude of players have been linked with a possible move across to LIV Golf and a general manager from the franchise has commented on some possible additions.
A general manager said: “Two guys that had very big offers that are now calling would love to be on [a LIV team] and said that was the worst decision they made is not accepting the offer and coming over.
“My phone’s been ringing nonstop.”
Some changes are expected to occur at LIV Golf after the LIV Team Championship which took place in Dallas and there is a host of interest from college players and PGA professionals.
Not only that but multiple names from LIV have been demoted including the likes of Bubba Watson, Kalle Samooja, Scott Vincent, Kieran Vincent, and Branden Grace.
Bubba Watson does find himself in a specific circumstance as he is one of the 15 captains on the books at LIV Golf and may warrant some leniency.
Watson’s situation is notably different, given his status as one of the 15 captains of LIV Golf.
Rules over the captain’s place in LIV Golf have changed, meaning Watson is no longer exempt from relegation but he will give a business idea to LIV members over his chance to come back and join RangeGoats in 2025.
Samooja, Grace and the duo of Vincents can also claim their place back into LIV Golf’s promotions but players in the Open Zone who do not have a contract could also lose their place.
Another key feature for LIV Golf is the wildcard openings, with Anthony Kim occupying one of these slots last time out and Kim is set to return in 2025.
Kim will feature at the upcoming International Series Qatar but is a heavy underdog on UK betting sites.
