A popular Spanish holiday destination has introduced a number of new rules aimed at controlling the behaviour of tourists.
Mogán in Gran Canaria is home to the tourist hotspots such as Puerto de Mogán, where Brits tend to enjoy stag and hen dos. However, the area is set to ban drinking in the street and sleeping in public spaces.
Holidaymakers will also be forbidden from walking the streets "partially naked," including people walking around in swimwear or not wearing a top. Visitors will be prohibited from hanging clothes over balconies to dry too, Liverpool Echo reports.
Should you break the new rules, you could be hit with a fine of up to 3,000 euro (£2,628). A minor rule break will lead to a fine of 750 euro (£657).
Elsewhere, Malaga has introduced new rules on rude inflatables and costumes, with fines of up to £1,300 being implemented. The fines could be even higher is the offender is with a minor or disabled person, or if the offence takes place in view of a school.
A Malaga Council source told Sur in English : "The proliferation of certain types of behaviour in recent years, such as nudism, wearing nothing but underwear or carrying erotic items in public means that we have to introduce new regulations. Public spaces must be preserved as places where people can meet, coexist and enjoy their leisure time while respecting others."
