A man in his 70s and a woman in her 40s were rushed to hospital after a horror crash on the M7 this afternoon.
The two car crash happened at Junction 9 of the M7 Northbound.
Three fire engines and gardaí rushed to the scene.
The pensioner was rushed to Naas General Hospital with the other driver being brought to Tallaght University Hospital.
The road remained open.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí attended a 2 car rtc at junction 9 of the M7 northbound. A man in his 70s was taken to Naas General Hospital & a female in her 40s was taken to Tallaght University Hospital to be treated for their injuries."
