Two people were pulled from a burning building after a blaze broke out on a residential street.
The fire started at a house on Speakman Street in Runcorn in the early hours of Sunday, July 31. Three fire engines were sent to the scene just after 4am on Sunday, where they found a fire on the ground floor of the two-storey property.
Firefighters with breathing apparatus went into the building and brought two people out. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said they were cared for by fire crews before being taken to hospital as a precaution, Cheshire Live reports.

The blaze was extinguished and an investigation into the cause is under way. Smoke from the fire billowed into three houses on the street and fire crews used high pressure fans to clear it.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two casualties were rescued from a house fire by firefighters. The crews in breathing apparatus rapidly deployed into the property to bring the casualties out of the burning building.
"The fire, on the ground floor, was tackled by four fighters in breathing apparatus using two hose reel jets as other crew members gave casualty care until the ambulance service arrived.
"Once the fire was out, damping down was carried out and the property, including the loft space, thoroughly checked to ensure there were no hot spots or fire spread.
"The properties either side of the affected building were also checked to ensure there was no fire spread. Smoke was cleared from the three houses using high pressure fans.
"Both casualties were taken to hospital as a precaution. An investigation into the cause of the fire is being carried out."
