Two people have been arrested over a fatal street shooting in Melbourne's inner north on Tuesday.
A 55-year-old man was found lying on Napier Street in Fitzroy with a gunshot wound on Tuesday afternoon.
He died at the scene.
Police believe the man had been involved in an altercation with "a number of people" parked on Napier Street in an Audi car.
Investigators continue to say it appears to be a targeted attack by people known to the man.
A 43-year-old man from Doveton, in Melbourne's outer south-east, and a 21-year-old woman from Yarraville, in the inner west, were arrested on Wednesday afternoon.
The Special Operations Group assisted in the arrest of the pair at a suburban street in the outer-south-eastern suburb of Noble Park about 5:30pm.
They were assisting police with their enquiries overnight.
Homicide squad detectives found the Audi in South Yarra, about 6 kilometres South of Fitzroy, on Wednesday afternoon.
"At this time there are no known links to any other recent firearms incidents involving organised crime groups," a Victoria Police spokesperson said in an overnight update.
"Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident in Fitzroy, including the events in the lead-up to and after the shooting, or has CCTV or dash cam vision."
