Two pensioners have been rushed to hospital after being mowed down by a car in an Aberdeenshire town. Police Scotland say the incident happened at around 2.20 pm on Beach Road in Stonehaven on Tuesday 9 August.
Emergency services took a woman, aged 80 and a man, aged 76 to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. Their condition is currently unknown.
No arrests have so far been made in relation to the incident. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 2.20pm on Tuesday, August 9, officers were called to a report of a collision between a car and two pedestrians on Beach Road in Stonehaven.
A 76-year-old man and 80-year-old woman were taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment."
