Two mums have told of their wild decision to jet off on a round trip to the sun after packing the kids’ lunches - costing them just €26.
The best friends set off on their 4,000 km trip from Manchester to Lanzarote for a fun day out and took to TikTok to document their travels.
The ‘0nlyMums' TikTok account is run by one of the women who said the trip involved a 9-hour excursion to the popular holiday destination in the Canary Islands to "blow off January blues”.

One of the mums wrote: "Well my weekend's on the up because I’ve just booked a £23 (€26) flight to Spain for the day to blow off the January blues - me and the bestie - the packed lunch is made for the kids on Monday and I’ll be back at midnight!"
With flights costing just the price of a few drinks, the mum mates enjoyed cocktails together and a swim on the beach before arriving home by 12.30am the next day.
In a second short video, she shared photos of her living her best life in Lanzarote saying it was “better than a Sunday round Sainsbury’s!”
In one video they wrote: "We've got seven children between us. We booked £23 (€26) flights to Lanzarote and back in one day, gossip on the plane, brunch, Spanish Zara, cocktails overlooking the beach and a dip in sea.
"A Burger King to sober up at the airport [then] back in my own bed for 12.30am!"
The fun-loving mum recommended other women follow in her footsteps and book a spontaneous trip away if they could.
She added: "Ladies, if you only think you've got a day to spare... make it count! You can absolutely do it. We got up at 3:45am and we have had the best day in Lanzarote.
“We’ve been in the sea, had three sex on the beach cocktails, been to Zara - what more do you need hun? Book the flight!”
The video has since racked up over 1.1million views and more than 90,000 likes on the popular social media platform.
After her quick trip abroad, the mum has said the response to her holiday is "mad" and the "kids think I'm the next best thing which is actually really lovely."
Viewers were quick to post their comments in admiration of the idea.
One said: "Can you imagine saying, 'see you later kids, just popping to Lanzarote'. I love it."
Another, speaking of their own experiences, added: "I did this in October - £38 (€43) return flights to Milan! 6am flight pasta lunch in the sun had giant aperol spritz’s and pizza, home for 12.30am."
Some viewers labelled the duo as “legends” while others started tagging their friends in the viral video saying “we need to do this!”
One viewer commended the pair saying: “This energy is amazing! Well done ladies! Hope you both had the best time!”, while another said “This is exactly what life is about.”
Others were less than enthusiastic about the idea, saying that potential airport delays had the capacity to make the day a bit more miserable than planned.
One user said:”My mate did this this weekend, it snowed at Manchester airport and she was sat on the plane for a total of 9 hours while they were sorting it out.”
One comment read: "I couldn't be a***d with the two-hour drive to the airport then the four-hour flight."
