Two men, aged in their 20s and late teens, have been charged in relation to a burglary in Co Monaghan on Saturday.
The men were arrested after the vehicle they were driving came to the attention of gardai in Drogheda.
Following reports of the burglary in Carrickmacross, the suspected vehicle was spotted by gardai on the M1 in the Drogheda area.

A chase ensued as gardai attempted to stop the vehicle.
It came to a sudden stop when the getaway car suffered a blowout, and the occupants fled on foot.
Both men were detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, at Drogheda Garda station and have since been charged.
They are due to appear before Drogheda District Court this morning, Tuesday, at 10.30a.m.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí investigating a burglary in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, on Saturday 25th June 2022 and the vehicle that came to the attention of Gardaí in Drogheda have charged the two men that were arrested.
“Both men, aged 20s and late teens, were detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Drogheda Garda station have since been charged and are due to appear before Drogheda District Court this morning, Tuesday 28th June, 2022 at 10.30a.m.
“Investigations ongoing.”
