Two men have been taken to hospital after a crash on a major road in Bolton.
Emergency services were called to the smash involving two vehicles at the junction of Chorley New Road and Beaumont Road, in Lostock, at about 2.50pm today (Saturday).
Firefighters cut one man free from one of the vehicles. He and another man were both taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

Eyewitness reported seeing several police cars, ambulances and fire engines at the scene following the incident.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: “At approximately 2.50pm on Saturday, April 1, firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles at the junction of Beaumont Road and Chorley New Road, in Bolton.
“Two fire engines from Bolton Central station, alongside the Technical Response Unit from Leigh, quickly attended the scene.
“Firefighters extricated a man from one of the vehicles using specialist cutting equipment.
"Another man self-rescued before fire crews arrived at the scene. Both casualties were transferred to the care of colleagues from NWAS and were conveyed to hospital by ambulance."
Greater Manchester Police has been approached for further information.
