Gardai have charged two men in their 40s in connection with a drug seizure in Tallaght and Knocklyon on Monday.
The arrests were made after two cars were stopped in Tallaght before a home in Knocklyon was raided by officers. Inside the property gardai found 120kg of cannabis herb.
It's estimated that the drugs have a street value of around €2.4 million. The arrests and raid were carried out as part of Operation Tara which is the national anti drugs operation by An Garda Siochana.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí have charged the two men, aged in their 40s, who were arrested as part of the Operation Tara drug seizure of €2.4 million cannabis herb, conducted by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau in Tallaght on Monday, 20th February 2023.
"Both men are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice (Court No.2) on Wednesday morning, 22nd February 2023, at 10.30am. Investigations ongoing."
