Two Glasgow teens attacked by armed thugs in Yoker in unprovoked assault

Two male teenagers, aged 18 and 17 have been rushed to hospital after they sustained serious injuries to their head and wrists following an unprovoked attack at an underpass in Yoker, Glasgow.

Police are now appealing for information which will help their ongoing investigation.

The incident happened at around 7pm on Tuesday, March 28, under Kelso Street.

The 18-year-old and 17-year-old were with two other friends when they were approached by three men who were in possession of weapons after getting out of a dark coloured vehicle on Kelso Street.

The two victims sustained serious injuries and were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, for treatment.

The suspects made off in the direction of Greenlaw Road.

They are described as males, aged between 16 and 18 years-old, and wearing dark coloured clothing with hoods up and faces covered.

Kris Elliott, of Drumchapel CID, said: “This appears to be an unprovoked attack and we are eager to trace those responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen these suspects, or where they went after the serious assault, to please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3190 of Tuesday, 28 March, 2023, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
