Two Dublin restaurants were closed down after HSE inspectors spotted rodent droppings at the venues.
Zing by Chaska at 90 - 91 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 was served with a closure order by the HSE on July 20 under the FSAI Act 1998. The closure order was issued after rodent droppings were found behind the free-standing fridges where the food is prepared in the kitchen.
Additionally, the kitchen was found to be in a "filthy" conditions, the report reads. The enforcement order was lifted on July 22.

A separate closure order was served on Doson on 10 Dorset Street Lower. Some of the reasons for the enforcement order included filthy conditions of the premises, rat droppings discovered in the food storage area which was in a poor state of repair, high risk cooked meats were stored at wrong temperatures, and the lack of adequate training for food handlers.
The enforcement order under European Union (Official Controls in Relation to Food Legislation) Regulations, 2020 is yet to be lifted.
Dr Pamela Byrne, Chief Executive, FSAI said: "These Closure Orders demonstrate the importance of regular and consistent checks by businesses to ensure safe food practices are in place and adhered to in the interest of protecting consumer health. It is disappointing to see a number of these enforcement orders relating to the presence of rodents on the premises.
"Ensuring food is free of contamination includes putting robust pest control systems in place and also training/supervising staff appropriately. It must also be noted that summer is a particularly busy time of year for many food businesses, and it is critical that businesses have the necessary systems in place to account for both the increase in customers and temperatures.
"Food bacteria can multiply quickly in warm weather and food businesses must ensure food is stored correctly."
