Two dogs have reportedly attacked another dog in Bootle.
Witnesses told the ECHO they spotted two dogs that were "on the loose" without an owner around Stanley Road, near to the Strand and St Matthew's Church. Police were then flagged down by a member of public reporting a bulldog had been attacked by two other dogs.
The bulldog received bite wounds to the face and body in the attack. Officers said that the two dogs were not with an owner or wearing collars.

A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "Police officers were flagged down by a member of the public on Stanley Road in Bootle at around 4.30pm yesterday, Sunday October 9, reporting that two dogs had attacked a bulldog.
"The bulldog had received puncture wounds to the face and body. The other two dogs are reported to have not been wearing collars and were not with an owner.
"There are no reports of any person being injured. CCTV enquiries and a search of the local area were carried out but there was no trace of the dog or owner. Anyone with information which could assist with enquiries is asked to DM @MerPolCC or call 101 quoting reference 22000745735."
