Two Colts linemen had jerseys that read ‘French’ ‘Fries’ and it became an instant meme

Some things in football are so perfectly random and beautiful, you struggle to explain them. Usually, we’d talk about some perfect bounce on a fumble or maybe a huge punt, but the Colts (-1.5) gave us something even more serendipitous during their preseason matchup against the Bills.

You see, after picking center Wesley French in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Colts now have the big man alongside one of last year’s draft picks … Will Fries. And amidst their game with Buffalo, the Colts had “French” lined up on the left side of “Fries,” and you get it.

You’re probably getting hungry right now, but you get it:

I know this is purely a happy coincidence, but my day is made. I can only hope that French and Fries — two current backups — become elite stalwarts in Indy so that this big man duo gets the arguably best nickname in NFL history.
