Two Chelsea loanees return to Cobham as defender receives 'best' compliment

Nathan Baxter - The goalkeeper put in a steady performance but could not prevent Birmingham from netting twice against Hull as the Tigers' difficult start to the season continued. Ahead of the game saw his goal at the KCOM Stadium.

Lucas Bergstrom - completed 180 minutes as Peterborough won 4-1 in midweek before losing to Wycombe 3-1 at the weekend.

Jamie Cumming - The young goalkeeper was in net for consecutive defeats for MK Dons as they fell to Bristol Rovers and Plymouth Argyle. Between the fixtures, MK Dons boss Liam Manning provided a ringing endorsement of the young stopper's abilities.

He said: "He's terrific. It's a challenging period for everybody, especially for Jamie, who was here last season and having the success he did.

"He'll have a really good career, Jamie. He'll play at a really high level. He's matured in terms of his leadership in this tough situation. He comes out in a lot of credit for me."

Gabriel Slonina - Reports suggest that Slonina has arrived at Cobham for a two-week training stint, with a decision to be made on where the goalkeeper is best served when he official heads to the Blues at the end of his loan with Chicago Fire in January.

Ethan Wady - Was on the bench for Woking as they qualified for the FA Cup with a victory over Southend United. The goalkeeper is yet to start for the Cardinals since the season started.

Malang Sarr - The French defender was involved in a bizarre own goal as Monaco fell 4-0 to Trabzonspor. The Chelsea loanee was helpless as he headed into position, and goalkeeper Alexander Nubel looked to fizz a pass to Caio Henrique. The ball smashed off Sarr's thigh and headed into the net to open the scoring. Sarr did not feature in Monaco's draw with Clermont Foot.

Ethan Ampadu - The Welshman played as a central defender in a back four as Spezia drew two-all Cremonese.

Levi Colwill - The defender was not involved in Brighton's squad as the Seagulls fell 2-0 to Brentford due to injury. He will be unavailable for the game against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

Henry Lawrence - Missed MK Dons' defeat through injury.

Ian Maatsen - Ian Maatsen made the Championship team of the week after providing an assist in Burnley's 4-0 win over Swansea. The Dutch defender provided a brilliant cross for Vitinho to open the scoring. He produced a very good defensive display too.

Sam McClelland - The central defender completed 89 minutes as his Barrow side lost 2-1 to Rochdale.

Baba Rahman - Rahman remains out injured after picking up a hamstring injury in the last international break.

Dujon Sterling - The defender played as a wing-back at Stoke, beat Preston 2-0 away from home. Stoke boss Alex Neil said: "Dujon, for me, is arguably one of the best one-v-one defenders I've ever seen. Very, very few people get past him. He's strong, he's powerful, he's determined."

Tino Anjorin - Tino Anjorin missed Huddersfield's defeat to Rotherham through illness.

Tiemoue Bakayoko - The midfielder did not make it off the bench in Milans' win over Verona.

Xavier Simons - Made his first appearance for Hull City in the defeat to Birmingham as he came on for the final eight minutes of the match but did not have enough time to make an impact.

Harvey Vale - The youngster was not involved in Hull's matchday squad. Having picked up an injury on international duty, Vale has spent some time back at Cobham during his recovery.

Hull's Andy Dawson said: "He's down at Chelsea at the moment, they're assessing him, and hopefully, in the next week or two, he'll be back here. Hopefully, he'll not be too far away, and he'll be back soon."

Romelu Lukaku - The Belgian is still recovering from injury and missed Inter's win over Salernitana but could be available to take on Fiorentina.

Callum Hudson-Odoi - The winger saw an assist cancelled out when Bayer Leverkusen's goal was disallowed against Porto in a 3-0 loss. The Chelsea loanee missed his side's Bundesliga game against Frankfurt due to a knee injury.

Bryan Fiabema - Reports suggest that the striker returned to Chelsea for further treatment after suffering a knee injury in training with Forest Green Rovers.

Jayden Wareham - The young forward was unavailable as Leyton Orient drew with Northampton Town.
