Two-car crash on M74 off-slip at Larkhall sees driver rushed to hospital

A driver has been rushed to hospital after a two-car crash on the M74 motorway.

The road traffic collision took place around 12.30pm on Sunday on the off-slip of the motorway at Junction 7 (Larkhall) at its junction with the A72.

The incident sparked a warning from Traffic Scotland for drivers to find alternative routes while the off-slip was blocked off to traffic heading southbound on the M74 amid a police response.

The driver was taken to University Hospital Wishaw. Their present condition is unknown.
