Two burning cars crash into Melbourne house

Two cars have been set alight and driven through the fence of a property in Melbourne's northwest.

The fiery incident unfolded on McCracken Street, Essendon, about 2am on Tuesday.

Victoria Police said the attack was targeted and detectives are investigating.

A 47-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were home at the time but not injured.

The home sustained minor damages to the front window.
