Two Bristol strippers explain how Covid changed their life for the better

Two women who were forced to stop stripping in clubs due to lockdown started a lucrative virtual version - which can rake in up to £3,000 a day.

Paige Starr, 38, and Lucie Tabitha, 35, both from Bristol, say they met working together in a strip club. But when Covid hit and their club closer the pair decided to start an online version using OnlyFans – and say it quickly took off.

Calling the experience empowering - and saying they felt safer online than they did performing in clubs - the pair raked in £10k over the course of eight shows. And now thanks to popular demand, they say they plan to run another virtual strip club experience soon.

Paige said: “Our shows are really popular – we always make between £,1000-£3,000 per day each, so it was worthwhile. Now that I’ve transitioned away from clubs, I’m happy to be focusing on OnlyFans and working for myself.

“Because it’s virtual there’s no danger of boundaries being crossed which does happen in strip clubs, people do have moments where they don’t respect the rules. There was zero danger of that, it was really fun which is why we did it again and again - it was so much fun not just for our fans but for us as well.”

They initially started making content separately before deciding to pair up. They bought their own pole and disco lights, before clearing out Lucie’s living room and streaming online shows.

Both Lucie and Paige now work as OnlyFans creators full-time and have ditched the 'real life' strip clubs entirely – but say they have plans to continue their virtual strip club. The pair say their families and friends are supportive of the venture and both say they find the experience empowering.

Paige said: “The first live show would be at 2pm, we would be popping a bottle of champagne, welcoming people to the club and announcing we were open for live shows and dances. We would do a live show every hour or so and would do two full songs each, we’d each go up on stage and do a pole show.

“We did online live shows, people could buy dances via video or live show, and we would either pre-record and send them or stream them live. My friends and family are all very supportive, most of them think I’m insane in a good creative way and everyone is very proud of me."

Lucie said: “We bought back the strip club just before Christmas and are going to bring it back in the next couple of weeks as well. We get asked about it all the time and customers are excited for us to bring it back - I don’t think we ever had any negative comments, everyone just loved it.

“It's great fun, I really looked forward to doing them. It was kind of like a night out but from home and we were making money as well. I find the experience empowering.

"I was a personal assistant before and now I’m making a lot more money by having a fun night with my friend, it’s better than having a full-time day job.”
