The Cincinnati Bengals were present at another pro day with less than a month to go before the 2024 NFL draft.
Michigan held its pro day, and Bengals’ defensive backs coach Charles Burks and tight ends coach James Casey were both in attendance to watch the Wolverines.
Tight end AJ Barner and defensive backs German Green, Mike Sainristil and Josh Wallace would have been the players the two coaches were keeping an eye on, and it wouldn’t be a shock if the Bengals went with one of them on draft day.
In the past two years, the Bengals have taken DJ Turner and Dax Hill in the draft, both of whom are Michigan products.
Barner finished the 2023 season with 22 catches for 249 yards and a touchdown. Sainristil had 44 tackles, four of which were for a loss and one sack with six interceptions, two of them taken back for a touchdown.
Wallace made 33 tackles, two for a loss, broke up four passes and recovered two fumbles, while Green appeared in just eight games and made three tackles, contributing mostly on special teams.
