Two people have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after the remains of four people were discovered at a mill in Oldham.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Major Incident Team carried out warrants this morning (August 18) and detained two suspects. They have been arrested for manslaughter, as well as on suspicion of drugs and organised crime offences.
Both suspects remain in police custody to be quizzed by detectives. This comes after the remains of four separate victims were found at the scene, following a devastating blaze at the mill in May.

Partial human remains have been identified, through fingerprint analysis, as belonging to Uoc Van Nguyen from northern Vietnam. The 31-year-old's remains were discovered on July 28 - five days after a first set of human remains were discovered by demolition workers at the Bismark House Mill.
Uoc Van Nguyen was reported missing to police on Thursday, July 21, along with three other Vietnamese nationals - Cuong Van Chu, 39, Duong Van Nguyen, 29, and 21-year-old Nam Thanh Le. Police believe they may have also been inside the mill at the time of the fire.
At the time of the fire, crews believed nobody was inside the mill. But soon after demolition work began, the remains of an adult male was found seven weeks later on July 23, prompting a major incident to be declared.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Davies, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Our thoughts remain with the families in Vietnam. They are being fully updated and supported by specially-trained officers, as we try to find the answers we need and they deserve.
“These arrests are part of our enquiries to establish why Uoc and three other, currently unidentified, individuals were in the mill during the fire. We are making progress but our investigation is very much ongoing.
