The famous blue ticks that prove you have a verified account will now cost money after a dramatic change from Twitter. New owner Elon Musk announced the radical shake-up back in March and today is officially the last day that social media users will get the useful feature without paying a price.
“Final date for removing legacy Blue checks is 4/20," Musk confirmed via his Twitter account.
It means from tomorrow, April 21, those wanting to continue having an iconic blue tick will need to fork out up to £11 per month for a Twitter Blue account.
