Heading into Sunday’s season-opener, the New England Patriots had lost their previous three games to the Miami Dolphins. They already had their back on the ropes as underdogs, but as always, the Patriots and coach Bill Belichick are not to be underestimated.
Even after an ugly training camp and preseason, there was hope that the Patriots would ultimately figure things out and put the puzzle together on the fly in meaningful football games.
But that clearly didn’t happen in this matchup with the scoreboard reading 20-7 at the end of the matchup. The Patriots got rolled for a fourth consecutive time by the division rival Dolphins.
As expected, Twitter was full of mostly skepticism with a little optimism following another disappointing performance by a Patriots team that still has more questions than answers right now.
