The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted an offensive tackle and a tight end with their first two picks in the 2023 NFL draft. With defensive needs still unaddressed, the team picked Auburn running back Tank Bigsby at the tail-end of the third round.
Bigsby, a 215-pound bruiser of a running back who had 25 touchdowns in three years at Auburn, was an intriguing and exciting pick to many fans and analysts. But there were many questions raised about the Jaguars’ decision to ignore defense and stockpile Day 3 selections.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Jacksonville’s decision to pick Bigsby:
Jaguars used their third-round pick on Auburn RB Tank Bigsby, which should come as no surprise. Jaguars’ GM Trent Baalke now has drafted a running back in every single year he has been a GM (49ers 2011-2016, Jaguars 2021-2023).

#Jaguars stay out and select Auburn RB Tank Bigsby with their third-round selection. Pick No. 88. Heck if a player.

The Jaguars off-season has mostly been swings and misses. They were limited because of the cap but had plenty of opportunities to improve yet swung and missed. They can probably overcome it because of Trevor and Doug, but…

Maybe all 11 of the remaining #Jaguars picks in rounds 4-7 can cover Travis Kelce.

Jaguars loading up on offensive talent so far in the draft.

It's official. The Jaguars must truly believe in their pass rushers taking a leap in year 3.
That, or they're signing a Frank Clark, Yannick Ngakoue, etc after the draft…

#Jaguars going with ALL of the offense. Doug and Trevor putting up 35+ per game this year? 👀
