The Kansas City Chiefs dropped their Week 11 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in brutal fashion after jumping out to a 10-point lead in the first half of the Super Bowl LVII rematch.
With momentum on its side coming out of halftime, Kansas City was shut out in the game’s final two quarters and was completely outmatched by Philadelphia’s effort on both sides of the ball.
The Chiefs’ season is still far from over. Losses are part of life in the NFL, and while primetime defeats lend themselves to a particularly painful sting, Kansas City can still pick up the pieces to finish its schedule with strong showings through the end of the year.
But the team’s fans were absolutely inconsolable on social media after this loss to the Eagles. Their reactions ranged from distraught to angry to comical as they sought to cope with the Chiefs’ latest disappointing showing.

Lot of negativity (for good reason) but a couple positives. (Don’t go to bed angry)
1. Trent McDuffie is a top 3 CB in the NFL.
2. Sneed and Trent make up the best CB tandem in the NFL.
3. Creed Humphrey is good.
4. The Chiefs defense might even be better than we think.

Tonight was the pinnacle of the Chiefs WR problems. I don’t know what else Patrick is supposed to do. Box score scout Mahomes haters are gonna have a field day. He was tremendous outside of the 1 INT. Receivers running awful routes and somehow the drops are even worse than that.

Props to the Eagles. They earned the victory. They showed up when the game was on the line. The #Chiefs wide receivers didn’t but that is nothing new at this point in the season.

— Alex Gold (@AlexGold) November 21, 2023
Chiefs WR’s are absolute buns. I have never seen a group so discombobulated with an inability to catch. I’ve tried being positive with it. Just can’t.

I had a witty retort about the Chiefs being highly suspect, but I dropped it like their receivers.
— Schlasser (@UrinatingTree) November 21, 2023
The chiefs never lose 1. At home; 2. When they score first; 3. When they are leading at half time. Except to the eagles when the eagles don’t even play well. That’s gotta be INFURIATING for all you other fans out there lol
