ROUND 5: Alvarez chopping away at the body with both hands. Big right hand late. Golovkin's low activity isn't winning rounds and doing nothing to set up power shots. 50-45 CA. #CaneloGGG3

Bad ass fight.. Canelo came with the heat; his pressure, his power👌🏼💥 and GGG was precise with his combos.. WHEN he let go… Amazing fight, Canelo showed why he’s a legend! 👊🏼

GGG you had a great run. Come back down to middleweight & let’s fight for those belts you still have in December or just pass em over & I’ll look after them for the next couple years while you enjoy retirement… you earned it champ.

Michael Montero
It’s a testament to Golovkin’s character and class as a fighter that he went the distance with Canelo, while much younger and naturally larger title holders like Plant, Saunders and others couldn’t. Put some respect on the old man’s name. 🥊 #CaneloGGG3 #boxing
— Michael Montero (@MonteroOnBoxing) September 18, 2022
Andreas Hale
Canelo is used to picking his spots and waiting for his opponent to wilt. He knew GGG wouldn't go away and had to outwork him. That's not what Canelo does. I was impressed by his strategy and how he put it to work.
