The NFL suspended Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson for four games on Monday after his latest head-to-head hit in Week 7.
Jackson was ejected after a hit on Packers tight end Luke Musgrave on Sunday, and he will likely face a big fine as well. Here’s a sampling of how Twitter/X reacted to the safety’s suspension.
I've been surprised that Kareem Jackson had yet to be suspended. In the other direction, I'm surprised that a four game suspension came all at once.
We shall see if he has any success on appeal. https://t.co/msXh9P6jnk

Conspiracy theory football Twitter hasn't even realized yet that the judge in Kareem Jackson's case is the father of a current Packer

@nfl refs are ruining the damn games. @ReemBoi25 can’t make a tackle. Then you see the damn TE celebrating after he is ejected. Bullshit.

Shit is laughable! This hit can’t be any cleaner!
Btw, Jack is far from a dirty player by any means. Y’all got mf’s in the hall of fame that made it by knocking the shit out people, and yall praise them for it. Make it make sense. https://t.co/yFSL9NYTn9— James "PJ" Locke III (@PjLocke4) October 23, 2023

Kareem Jackson is being made an example of by the league.
I definitely understand there’s reputation with KJack, but this is bonkers.

Kareem Jackson was getting support from Broncos players, former Broncos players current and past NFL players…
This is absolute insanity. Like I said I definitely expected a suspension but four games? My gosh NFL is being hypocritical with this.

#Broncos coach Sean Payton on Kareem Jackson hit said his head is removed from the direct contact and said they'll keep working on those situations. Said it's unfair to label him as an old-time player in a current game.

I bet Kareem Jackson retires after this season. He’s too rough for this soft ass league.

Absolute craziness that the NFL is suspending Kareem Jackson 4 freakin games for that hit. What a joke. The guy catches it and goes down so he lowers his target area as Kareem is going to hit him. What is he supposed to do. Also the game isn’t played in Slo-mo #BroncosCountry

Far from a rules expert over here but I honestly do not think that hit from Kareem Jackson was dirty. Crown of helmet was up, led with his shoulder, not helmet to helmet….what is he supposed to do? pic.twitter.com/GfC6ewkjfb

Jackson will appeal the suspension and if he wins, the length of his suspension could be reduced.
