The Denver Broncos lost to the Houston Texans 22-17 on the road in Week 13, snapping a five-game winning streak. Here’s a sampling of how Twitter/X reacted to the heartbreaking loss that went right down to the final play.
Hell of a game. pic.twitter.com/dOR2h9pxec

Just don’t understand why you don’t just throw that ball away and go to 4th down instead of trying to force it to the TE who didn’t even know wtf was going on.

#Broncos come up eight yards short of a six-game winning streak. They fall to 6-6 and the Texans are 7-5.
22-17 the final.

Sorry to all the Broncos fans & players. I was cheering you all on.

The Broncos fall, 22-17.
They’d been living on edge throughout their 5-game winning streak. And today, they stumbled.
They didn’t force any takeaways. Allowed too many big plays to Houston early. And three interceptions off Wilson in the second half were killer.
Denver is 6-6.

Pain.

Hats off to the texans that was great defense, good game.
— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) December 3, 2023
Russell Wilson didn’t throw an interception in the 5-game win streak. He had three today.
Broncos defense had 16 takeaways in the 5-game win streak. Didn’t have one today.
He who wins the turnover battle wins the game.

Now the Broncos are going to miss the playoffs and have a terrible draft pick with an aging QB who can’t win you games unless the rest of your squad is perfect.
Worst case scenario for the whole franchise.

If Alex Singleton plays like a veteran instead of baiting a flag, the Broncos don't need a touchdown on the final drive.
Additionally he played as he has all season outside of the one sack. He was atrocious today. LVP

It's weird how happy I feel, given the way things fell apart at the end.
But honestly proud of how resilient the Broncos looked clawing their way back into a place where they had a shot to win it. That's growth for this team.
Simply dug too deep a hole against a good team.

The final result sucks, but I’m also glad I get to feel this way about the Broncos again, as opposed to the desolate depression of the past 6 seasons
— Zach Segars (@Zach_Segars) December 3, 2023
Losing a winnable game like that….man that hurts.
Defense did their part. This offense tho….not good.
— Mike Carmellini (@Mike_Carmellini) December 3, 2023
I really believed the Broncos were gonna win that game. I thought that magic was about to happen again. Damn. DAMN.
Great football game, but a massive missed opportunity for Denver.

Denver probably has to win every single game the rest of the season to make the playoffs now
— Nick Kendell 🏔 (@NickKendellMHH) December 3, 2023
Unfortunately, that was Russ's roughest game of the season.
And I don't like any of those calls on the final series.
Pretty simple to me. You give your best WR four shots at winning the game.
You throw the ball to Sutton every single time.

Great effort down the stretch @Broncos. I’m sad! 😔
— Ed McCaffrey (@87ed) December 3, 2023
Damn that was a crushing loss for the Broncos

It is what it is. Season isn’t mathematically over.
— Robby (@Robby_NFL) December 3, 2023
Streak is over, but the season isn’t. Disappointing loss but so was a 1-5 start and they found a way to fight back.
Sean Payton & these Broncos have earned benefit of the doubt so lets give it to them.

Up next for the Broncos is a road game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14.
