The Houston Texans managed to get their quarterback of the future with C.J. Stroud.
The Texans selected the former Ohio State Buckeye with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
There was some doubt as to whether the Texans would go with Stroud as it appeared Houston was ambivalent as to what to do at No. 2 overall. Houston originally wanted Alabama’s Bryce Young, but the Carolina Panthers fell in love with the former Crimson Tide product in the draft process.
