Viewers told us what they really thought of last night’s offerings on the network’s main channels — they hated them, and fled to the 18 minor digital channels (or the streaming services). The combined share of the minor channels was a very high 38.9%, despite the mix of repeats, repeats of repeats, and third and fourth tier programs. Seven won the night from Nine, Ten and ABC in total people. In the main channels it was Seven, Nine, the ABC and Ten.
The Bachelors Australia on Ten was up to 388,000 nationally after 373,000 on Tuesday night (and 405,000 for its Monday night debut). Seven’s Big Bash League game attracted 481,000. The BBL cricket is keeping Seven’s head above water, but next week it will be assisted by the tennis with the start of the Australian Open.
