Taskmaster
9pm, Channel 4
Sam Campbell designing a tiny bikini. Susan Wokoma pairing cornflakes with hot sauce. Sue Perkins forgetting about the milk! It can only be the final tasks of the season ender in which Greg Davies names this year’s Taskmaster champion. Lucy Beaumont is the favourite to win, while Julian Clary is feeling the pressure the most. Hollie Richardson
Saving Lives at Sea
8pm, BBC Two
More emergency call-outs – or “shouts” in the jargon – alongside RNLI teams across the UK. In Northern Ireland, the Lough Erne crew must deal with two tricky rescues (one human, one bovine), while off the coast of North Berwick a windsurfer is menaced by a storm. Graeme Virtue
Mary Makes It Easy
7.30pm, BBC Two
Mary Berry surprises Lorraine Kelly on the set of her live show this week, threatening to teach the self-confessed “rubbish cook” a few simple meals to make. Thai-style beef stir-fry and Thai chicken noodle soup are on the menu. HR
The Newsreader
9pm, BBC Two
It’s a fake 1987 interview with Kylie Minogue to open this week’s episode. Anna Torv continues to shine as troubled newsreader Helen, whose romantic relationship with co-host Dale is breaking down, only for ex-colleague Geoff’s daughter to offer her an exclusive – about her dad’s links to her heroin addiction. Alexi Duggins
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK
9pm, BBC Three
It’s semi-final time, which means one glorious thing: a Gladiators-themed roast for the remaining queens. Maximum comedy chops and sassy one-liners are needed for this one as the weakest contestant will be sashaying away, missing out on a place in the final. Alan Carr is on hand to mentor and Aisling Bea drops in as a guest judge. Hannah Verdier
Hullraisers
10pm, Channel 4
Rana makes a huge blunder at work as this lairy and likable sitcom continues. She decides to distract herself by pursuing Hull’s hottest man. Sadly, Pickles can’t stop getting in her way. Meanwhile, Craig suddenly finds himself the centre of female attention, much to Toni’s surprise. Flimsy but fun. Phil Harrison
Film choice
Petite Maman (Céline Sciamma, 2021), 12.55am, Film4
Another insightful drama from Céline Sciamma, the French director of Portrait of a Lady on Fire. Her new film harks back to her earlier work, delving sensitively into the inner life of a child. Eight-year-old Nelly (Joséphine Sanz) goes with her parents to her recently deceased grandmother’s rural house so they can clear it out. Her mother, Marion, is too distraught to stay, but then Nelly goes into the woods – in classic fairytale fashion – and meets a girl her age also called Marion (Gabrielle Sanz), who appears to live in the same house. From this ghostly premise comes a drama that is at heart a child’s-eye view of grief and loss, as Nelly learns more about herself – and her mother. Simon Wardell
