Riches, 9 pm, ITV1/ITVX (box set)
Riches has been billed as Britain’s answer to Succession, but there’s also a whiff of Dynasty in this six-part drama – first available on ITVX in December – about the super-wealthy Richards clan. The tale begins when patriarch Stephen (Holby City favourite Hugh Quarshie) dies unexpectedly and leaves his beauty-and-hair empire to his children from his first marriage, to the fury of his widow Claudia (Sarah Niles) and her spoiled youngsters. With plenty of sibling rivalry, boardroom battles and business back-stabbings, it’s a saga that could run for years to come. And watch out for cameos from Brendan Coyle and Hermione Norris.

Queen of Oz, 9.30 pm, BBC One/iPlayer (box set)
There are bitter exchanges and even a physical tussle when Georgiana’s snooty brother (Daniel Lapaine) arrives without warning. Prince Freddie passes on orders from their father, the King of England, that Georgie (Catherine Tate) must get married asap in order to improve public perception of the family. Needless to say, his sister is fuming, particularly as she doesn’t even have a boyfriend…

Lee (Lee Mack) is definitely not going anywhere tonight. He’s laid up in hospital awaiting gallbladder surgery. The procedure has been postponed until his blood pressure reduces – which looks highly unlikely. First, his in-laws Wendy and Geoffrey pop by for a visit, then Toby lets slip that his surgeon’s nickname is Shakin’ Stevens! Brimming with one-liners and a healthy dose of farce, this is
an acutely funny outing of the infectious sitcom. Sally Bretton and Abigail Cruttenden are in especially glinting form, as Lucy’s devious side is unleashed while nursing a grudge against Anna (a worthy opponent)!

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan season 4, Prime Video
Fasten your seat belts… John Krasinski is back as Jack Ryan, embarking on his fourth and final all-action adventure! As the CIA’s new Acting Deputy Director, our spy hero uncovers the convergence of a drug cartel with a terrorist organisation, testing his belief in the system he’s battled to protect…Joining show favourites Wendell Pierce as James ‘Jim’ Greer and Michael Kelly as Mike November is Ant-Man star Michael Peña as field agent Domingo ‘Ding’ Chavez. This rip-roaring finale serves as a great send-off for fans, but with a spin-off in the works, is there a chance Jack could be back? Watch this space… The first two episodes are available from today.

In season 1, Carrie's husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth) died of a heart attack in the first episode, setting Carrie on a collision course with life as a widow. Slowly but surely she's bouncing back and rediscovering herself, and trying to find love again.
The first two episodes dropped on Thursday, June 22 with episodes airing weekly.
Best film on TV tonight
The original Sylvester Stallone-fronted Rocky franchise ran for six films over 30 years – all scripted by Stallone, with most sequels directed by him, too. Rocky’s absent here, with Michael B Jordan following in Sly’s footsteps by taking the helm, making his directorial debut. The movie finds Adonis Creed (Jordan) nearing the end of his time as a professional boxer. Now undisputed heavyweight champ, he lives in luxury with wife Bianca (Tessa Thompson) and daughter Amara (Mila Davis-Kent). As he prepares to leave the ring to step back from the sport, though, a figure from his past (Jonathan Majors) re-emerges, meaning that retirement might not be quite so imminent…
