Fantasmas

10pm, Sky Comedy
This is the latest absurdist comedy series from the former Saturday Night Live writer Julio Torres (who created Ryan Gosling’s papyrus sketch, HBO’s Los Espookys and the whimsical A24 comedy movie Problemista). It tells the bizarre story of Torres as he goes in search of a lost oyster earring in a dreamy, kaleidoscopic alternative New York City. Emma Stone, Paul Dano, Natasha Lyonne and Tilda Swinton are just a few of the big-name fans who guest-star across the six episodes. Hollie Richardson

The American Führer

8pm, PBS America
The story of the man hailed as Hitler’s deputy in 1930s US is a disturbing reminder of the dangers of extremism and hate speech. The German immigrant Fritz Kuhn promoted Nazism through packed rallies, but lost support as anti-German sentiment grew, leading to his arrest and deportation. HR

George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces

9pm, Channel 4
The lifespan of this property show has become almost infinite given the fact that being able to afford to buy a home qualifies almost any abode as an amazing space. Nonetheless, it’s staying oddity-focused for now, looking at a hotel in a crane, a converted horsebox and a cabin in an old lift – all of which sound depressingly tiny. Alexi Duggins

Interview with the Vampire

9pm, BBC Two
The seductive adaptation of Anne Rice’s supernatural period saga returns, with Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac and Delainey Hayles taking over the role of Claudia. In their quest for other vampires, they are led to war-torn Romania, where locals are (rightly) scared to go into the forest. HR

Susan Calman’s Grand Day Out

9pm, Channel 5
No need for Helen the campervan in Calman’s latest travelogue: all of her activities are within a pebble’s throw of the waterfront. In Lyme Regis – “the Naples of England” – she referees some salty waterpolo, chats to the Carry On star Anita Harris and does her best Meryl Streep impression on the Cobb, a historic breakwater. Graeme Virtue

Sneakerhead

10pm, BBC Three
Before Lucia Keskin wrote her breakthrough sitcom, Things You Should Have Done, she could be found being very funny in other people’s shows (this previously aired on U&Dave). She is Amber, a retail worker attempting her first sober day at Sports Depot while the beleaguered manager, Russell (Hugo Chegwin), confronts a gang of thieving teens. Ellen E Jones

Live sport

Olympics 2024 8am, BBC One. Simone Biles goes for women’s gymnastics all-around gold, men’s golf starts and rowing concludes.
