In what is either terrible or terrific timing, Natalie Dormer plays Sarah Ferguson with aplomb in this drama about yet another scandal close to the duchess. It is based on her former dresser, Jane Andrews (excellent rising star Mia McKenna-Bruce), who was convicted for murdering her boyfriend. The four-parter starts with working-class Jane trying to fit in with this new royal world, while managing her worsening mental health. Hollie Richardson

Eurovision Classical Concerts

Continuing a series celebrating four of Europe’s best orchestras, this concert is staged in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, and features the Gulbenkian Orchestra conducted by Aziz Shokakimov. They play Ravel’s La Valse and Debussy’s La Mer, as well as the symphonic poem Vltava by the Czech composer Bedřich Smetana. Jack Seale

For those in need of an education after watching Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague – his new film about the making of Breathless (AKA A Bout de Souffle) – here’s Jean-Luc Godard’s 1960 classic to help you out. It encapsulates the rule-breaking, improvisational spirit of the French New Wave – all jump-cuts, handheld camerawork and blithe indifference to typical plotlines – as Jean-Paul Belmondo’s impulsive, on-the-run criminal Michel woos Jean Seberg’s American student Patricia in a vividly depicted Paris.
