TV presenter launches blistering attack on 'nasty' Phillip Schofield

A TV presenter has launched a blistering attack on under-fire Phillip Schofield, branding him ‘nasty’. How Clean Is Your House? star Kim Woodburn hit out on GB News in an interview with Dan Wootton after speculation grew about Phil’s future on This Morning.

There have been suggestions there might be a rift with co-presenter Holly Willoughby - and this week Phil released a statement. He said: “As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We’re the best of friends — as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.

“Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her. The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us.” Phil took three weeks off presenting This Morning back in March as his brother Timothy Schofield, 54, was convicted of child sex offences.

Now on GB News, Kim Woodburn said she had been involved in run-ins with Phil before and was not a fan. She said: ”I’ve had so many run-ins. He is an obnoxious, horrible man, and I don’t know why he’s still on television.

“I went on his show and he insulted me. He was rude. He was horrible. He was laughing at me. He was absolutely sniggering at me.”

And she also attacked Holly, saying: “Holly seems a sweet little woman, and that’s it. She’s seen him being rude to people. I’ve seen people very sad on that show. Holly, who is the presenter with him. We want to hear from her. We want her to say occasionally, Phillip, I don’t agree with what you’re saying at all. She has never once said it. They’ve been together for years. She is not fit to be a presenter. She has no point of view.”

Schofield has been a regular presenter on This Morning since 2002 alongside hosts including Fern Britton and Amanda Holden. Schofield and Willoughby, who also present ITV’s Dancing On Ice together, have become firm favourites with the public.

In October Schofield thanked viewers after This Morning took home the daytime prize at the National Television Awards, saying: “This means so much to us every year, especially this year.” It came after the co-hosts had faced criticism over claims they skipped the queue for the Queen’s lying in state.
