TV and sports presenter Jeff Stelling is coming to Cardiff to host a pub quiz. The Sky Sports presenter and former Countdown host will be running the quiz from a popular Cardiff pub The Claude.
The evening will consist of a special quiz, hosted by Jeff, and a question-and-answer session where guests can quiz Jeff. The quiz and event is for charity with all proceeds going to Macmillian Cancer Support.
Jeff will be hosting the quiz at The Claude, in Roath, on Monday, October 10. The event will begin at 7pm with the quiz kicking off at 7.30pm. You can keep up to date with the latest What's On news by signing up to the newsletter here.
The quiz will be a quintessential sports quiz and tickets for the event cost £5 per team and teams can have a maximum of six people. Jeff has been teaming up with Greene King Abbot Ale to help the nation slow down and enjoy the best and most simple things in life, such as a quiz at the local pub.
There will be samples of the Greene King Abbot Ale to try. Tony Kightley, General Manager for The Claude said: “Myself and the team are thrilled to be welcoming Jeff to host our sports quiz night on Monday 10 October, and what is more relaxing than a good quiz to get the brain going and a pint of Abbot Ale?"
Currently, Jeff presents Gillette Soccer Sunday on Sky Sports and although he previously announced he would be leaving Sky Sports in 2022, he is now staying with the broadcaster until at least 2023. Jeff is known for his partnership with fellow sports presenter Chris Kamara and the now hilarious line "I dunno Jeff" when Chris didn't realise a player had been sent off when he was talking to Jeff in the studio.
Jeff is not the first celebrity to visit Wales this year and you can read all the celebrities who have visited Wales so far in 2022 here.
