TV licence rules as TikTok user explains when people don't have to pay

Some households across the UK may be able to cancel their TV licences and request a refund.

A standard colour TV licence costs £159 a year and funds BBC services such as TV, radio and iPlayer. The fee can be paid annually or on a monthly basis.

A TikTok user has taken to the content creation platform to explain when people don't need to pay for the licence. Money saving ace, @frugalspender, said you can request a refund if you are paying for a TV licence when you do not need it - as the Daily Record reports.
