Despite any and all differences from its flagship Yellowstone, Paramount+’s Dutton Ranch has proven itself to be a hit with audiences, and ranked high up on the most-watched shows of the 2025-2026 TV season. Such spoils did not come without an equal amount of toils for the cast and crew during the nine-episode season’s production, and Cole Hauser spoke up about why it wasn’t necessarily the ranching or any of the cowboy work that made filming difficult.
While promoting his brand Free Rein’s American Dirt Protein Coffee, which probably tastes pretty danged good on the front porch of any Dutton family member’s home, Cole Hauser told People that filming for three-quarters of the year in Texas put everyone up close and personal with a full gamut of weather conditions to suffer through.
