The winners of the 2022 TV Choice Awards have been announced, with Emmerdale sweeping up the accolades.
The popular awards ceremony was back in person this evening, following two years of virtual events, as the nation's favourite programmes and stars were honoured.
Each year the awards are voted for by an audience of TV buffs who have been busy deciding their favourite daytime show and the best drama series, to name a few.
It's clear the nation hasn't grown tired of stories from the Yorkshire dales, as Emmerdale triumphed in two categories.
The ITV show was named Best Soap by viewers, thanks to storylines including serial killer Meena Jutla's reign of terror and the heart-breaking fallout from Marlon Dingle's stroke.
There was also a first TV Choice Awards win for Mark Charnock who plays Marlon, as he was recognised for his moving performance as a stroke survivor, 26 years after he first arrived in the village.
The storylines surrounding another soap favourite led to Gillian Wright grabbing her first ever TV Choice gong for her portrayal of Jean Slater in EastEnders.
The 62-year-old actress first appeared in Walford 18 years ago and won the heart's of viewers with her portrayal of Stacey Slater's struggling mum.
Elsewhere, Bradley Walsh's The Chase managed to bring an end to This Morning's winning streak as they took home the gold in the Best Daytime Show category.
For others it was business as usual, with I'm A Celebrity taking home its 17th Best Reality Show award. Over at Channel 4, Gogglebox and Celebrity Gogglebox also took home another win with the Best Entertainment Show.
Call the Midwife picked up yet another trophy at this year's awards, while star Jenny Agutter won the Best Actress prize.
Meanwhile, Netflix managed to take home three awards this year, showing just how much our viewing habits are changing.
After Life creator Ricky Gervais was awarded the Best Comedy Performance prize for the bittersweet series’ third and final run.
Period drama Bridgerton followed its Best New Drama win with a first triumph as Best Drama Series. And coming-of-age drama Heartstopper beat another Netflix hit, Squid Game, to be named Best New Drama.
