Rick Stein has revealed he was filming in Glasgow for a new series about British food.
The world-famous chef teased his Instagram followers on Sunday about an upcoming episode featuring Glasgow for a new series being filmed, as he visited The University Cafe in the west end.
Alongside a snap of the iconic cafe, located on Byres Road, he wrote: "Just back from Glasgow filming for new series about British food. @the_university_cafe1918 is a bit special, I was there for the Italian ice cream, but I noticed that the late and great Anthony Bourdain had been there for haddock and chips, it’s on the menu."
Whilst in the city, the restaurateur and writer reminisced fondly about the late Anthony Bourdain, as the legendary US chef released an episode dedicated to Scotland and Glasgow to form his 'Parts Unknown' series, visiting the cafe back in 2015.
Fans flocked to the comments of Rick's post to say they were excited.
