Luca Connell is looking forward to his reunion with Bolton Wanderers with Barnsley this weekend and is pleased to see his old club in a better place than when he departed for Celtic in 2019.
The 21-year-old midfielder came through the youth team ranks at Wanderers. He made a dozen apperances for the club in the second half of the 2018/19 season.

The midfielder was on the move back down to England this summer where he has joined the Tykes in League One. He has made a dozen appearances so far for Michael Duff's side.
Connell has spoken on his return to Bolton and it is one he is relishing. He is pleased to see the club in a much better position now compared to when he departed.
He said: "I'm looking forward to it, I'm excited. I think there's still a couple of old faces there that I'll get to see.
"When I left the club, it wasn't in the best of positions. Thankfully, they've turned that around now.
"A lot of the staff have changed, but funny enough, the lad I did my scholar with, he's the kit-man now! It'll be good to go back and see him."
