Turkey travel warning as new guidance issued to Irish holidaymakers

Turkey Department of Foreign Affairs DFA Istanbul

The Department of Foreign Affairs has issued guidance to Irish holidaymakers planning to travel to Turkey this year.

Turkey is a popular holiday destination due to its budget prices and great weather, however the DFA has warned that “the threat from terrorism remains high”.

Its general advice, which it updated on January 17, is to “exercise a high degree of caution at all times”.
