Holidaymakers set to travel to three European countries this half term have been issued a warning. UK travellers planning to head to Turkey, Greece or Cyprus in the coming weeks are expected to face high temperatures.

Some countries are still experiencing the heatwave which took over most of Europe this summer. Record breaking temperatures have been seen already during October.

Manchester Evening News reports the hottest October day record was broken in Antalya this weekend where temperatures reached 41C. This is the hottest October day in Turkey since 1930, according to meteorologist Yaser Turker, The Mirror reports.
