Hervé Renard took over the Tunisia national squad on Tuesday for the remainder of their World Cup campaign following the departure of head coach Sabri Lamouchi who was in charge when the team lost 5-1 to Sweden

Lamouchi took over from Sami Trabelsi in January after he paid the price for his Tunisia's sloppy performances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco even though he had overseen their unbeaten journey through the African qualifiying tournament.
