A 25-year-old man is in hospital after the second shooting in three days on the same south-west London street.

The victim is described as being in a serious condition after the shooting took place on Tulse Hill at 11pm on Sunday.

It came after another man, in his 20s, suffered gunshot wounds as he stood on the first floor of the Derrick House estate block in the same street on Friday.

That victim is still in hospital but his condition is now described as stable.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said it was too early to say whether the two shootings were linked.

The shootings came after two men were injured in a double stabbing in Surrey Quays.

Police responding to reports of a fight on Lower Road found two men, aged 41 and 39, seriously injured on Friday night.

Their injuries are also no longer deemed to be life-threatening.
