Tulisa addresses 'feud' rumours and shares real reason for disappearance after I'm A Celebrity

Contostavlos faced rumours that she had a big fall-out with her best friend after her jungle exit - (ITV)

Tulisa Contostavlos has addressed rumours that she is feuding with her friend who ran her Instagram account while she was on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The former N-Dubz star, 36, was the third campmate to be evicted from the jungle earlier this week and sparked concern by deleting any Instagram posts to do with the show after her exit.

She also failed to appear on the I’m A Celebrity spin-off show, Unpacked, following her departure, unlike previous evictees Jane Moore and Dean McCullough.

It was reported by the Daily Mail that the former X Factor judge had a “huge row” with her best friend, Michelle McKenna, over how McKenna ran her social media account.

Contostavlos’ representative shut down allegations of a confrontation, telling the Standard: “There has been absolutely no fall out between Tulisa and her best friend Michelle.

“They haven’t argued once since Tulisa left the jungle. Michelle in fact travelled back to London with Tulisa.”

The spokesperson added: “This story has been completely fabricated and wasn’t even sent to Tulisa’s team for a chance to comment prior to publication.

“The decision for Tulisa to return home to the UK was agreed to by the production for welfare reasons.”

Her team also said in a statement to Metro: “The truth of the matter is that Tulisa was struggling with her mental health, which is what she told fans.

“She wanted to be back at home, with her close friends and home comforts, and after a meeting with ITV, it was agreed by all parties that this would be the best thing for her.

“It’s nothing more than that, despite what people are saying.”

They added that ITV has “offered her a full duty of care package”.

Contostavlos explained that she has been laying low since the jungle because she’s feeling “overwhelmed” and wants to “take a breather” to focus on her wellbeing.

"I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding - in all the most positive way, but because it's been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily and I just started to feel a little bit overwhelmed,” she said in an emotional video on Instagram on Wednesday.

“And I was like, ‘Do you know what? I need to just take a little bit of time for me and just chill. This is all just feeling a bit much at the moment.’

"I've archived all my stuff to do with the jungle and then, when the time is right and I've had time to process, I'm going to make my own reels of my best bits that I really like. Because remember, I haven't been doing my own stuff. The way it's being posted and all the random stuff is not how I would be doing stuff."

She added: "It's ok to feel a bit overwhelmed, I've been out of the spotlight for a long time and I'm still trying to over come those things.

“You know, I've still got my little demons. Doesn't mean I'm going to go and hide under a rock for another 10 years. It just means I need a little bit of time to just process and you know, get right with my thoughts."

The Young singer added that she’s a “bit of an introvert”, saying: “I've been in a jungle with people I'd only just met for two and half weeks and then I've come out and I've seen loads of attention and I'm like 'woah this is a lot.'

“And I just need a little bit of a breather."
