The Tulane Green Wave won the AAC championship game in style on Saturday.
In a stunning highlight, Tulane running back Tyjae Spears scrambled for 60 yards for a hard-earned touchdown. On the play, Spears broke multiple tackles and read the field beautifully to reach the end zone.
However, the best part of the play wasn’t even the touchdown itself. Spears had to hurdle his own teammate, wideout Lawrence Keys III, on the play en route to the score.
A friendly fire hurdle hasn’t ever really been common in football. However, Spears probably knew his teammate wouldn’t mind being hurdled if it got the Green Wave six on the scoreboard.
.@tyjae22 is ridiculous!!! Touchdown Tulane. Spears with a touchdown run from 60-yards out

Tulane’s 45-28 victory over UCF helped cement what’s been a spectacular season for the Green Wave.
Bowl-bound, No. 18 Tulane will now look to hurdle any team that it might face off against as it vies for a new trophy to add to its cabinet of accomplishments.
